CALLING ALL NEXT-GENERATION PITMASTERS!
The future stars of BBQ are taking over the grills at the Franklin County Fall Festival NEBS Kids-Q! It is time for the young chefs to show off their skills, fire up the flavor, and compete for glory.
If your child loves to cook and is ready for some friendly, high-energy competition, this is their moment to shine!
THE CHALLENGE: TACOS!
The official Kids-Q category is a crowd favorite with endless creative possibilities:
- The Shell: Hard or soft, corn or flour tortillas are all allowed.
- The Filling: Any combination of meats, cheeses, vegetables, or other edible items.
- The Presentation: NEBS Standard Garnish is allowed to make that entry box pop!
CRITICAL COMPETITION RULES
To keep the playing field fair and fun, please make sure your young chef follows these key regulations:
- Meat Inspection: All meat must arrive raw and un-flavored. No pre-seasoning, brining, or marinating is allowed until after on-site inspection. Pre-trimming at home is allowed.
- Garnish Rules: Standard NEBS garnish.
- Sauces: If used, sauce must be on the taco. No side containers allowed. Any chunks in the sauce must be finely diced (under 1/8 inch). No non-edible objects in the box!
