Attention all barbecue enthusiasts!
New England Barbecue (NEBBQ) is calling for barbecue competition teams and judges to participate in a Northeast Barbecue Society (NEBS) three meat category challenge. This is your chance to showcase your skills and compete against the best barbecue teams in the region.
The three meat categories for the competition are chicken, ribs, and pork. In addition, there will be an optional "anything brisket" contest, where you can create any dish with brisket as the main ingredient. This will be a platter presentation and open garnish (all garnish used must be edible).

But that's not all! The contest will take place at Sonny's Place in Somers, CT, which offers a range of exciting outdoor activities for people of all ages. You can enjoy mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages, laser tag, an arcade, zip lines, and a rock climbing wall. There is something for everyone!
For the kids out there, we are also offering a free to enter Kids Q contest where they can turn in anything utilizing sausage.
The contest will be held on July 1, 2023. The entry fee for the three meat categories is $250, and the entry fee for the anything brisket contest is $50.
We are looking for experienced judges who can help us determine the best barbecue dishes in the region. Not experienced or trained? No Problem, starting at 5:30pm on June 30, we'll be holding a Northeast Barbecue Society judging class to help skill up folks to be prepared for judging.
