Flavors and Compassion Unite: Miller’s Crossing BBQ Fundraiser for Landon and the "Impossible Dream"
Cranston, RI - September 30th, 2023 - Get ready for a sizzling event that promises not only mouthwatering BBQ but also a chance to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Miller’s Crossing is hosting its 11th Annual BBQ Fundraiser in collaboration with the heartwarming organization, "Friends of Jake", with proceeds set to benefit the "Impossible Dream" and a special 4-year-old boy named Landon.
Landon, a brave young soul, battles Spastic Diplegia (Cerebral Palsy) stemming from a brain bleed. His journey has been challenging, marked by non-verbal communication and reliance on a manual wheelchair. Together, we have the power to transform his life and the lives of others facing similar struggles.
The “Impossible Dream”, a beacon of hope for many, will also be a beneficiary of this event. This noble cause has been instrumental in granting dreams to those with disabilities, spreading joy and making the impossible, possible.
Founded in 2011, “Friends of Jake” has been a shining example of how a community can come together to support its own. Originally established to aid a young boy named Jacob, the organization’s impact has extended far beyond its initial mission.
The venue for this heartwarming event is 43 Old Bald Hill Rd, Cranston, RI 02920. The doors will swing open on September 30th, 2023, with the bar ready to serve from 12 pm. The festivities kick off at 2 pm, culminating in a delectable BBQ dinner at 5:30 pm.
Aside from the mouthwatering BBQ, attendees can look forward to a lively atmosphere with raffles, auctions, and live music. The 50/50 draw promises a chance to win big, while also contributing to the cause.
